Soft decorations in the home, such as curtains, fabric sofa covers, etc., are prone to mold growth. At the beginning, the color of these small mold spots was very light. As the mycelium continued to expand and spread, the color gradually deepened, leaving black spots on it. What methods should we take to remove these molds?
1. You can first place the curtains and sofa covers in the sun, then remove mold with a brush, then scrub with alcohol, or rub with mung bean sprouts.
2. Put the soft decoration contaminated with mold spots into thick soapy water, take it out with soapy water, let it dry for a while in the sun, soak it several times, and rinse it with clean water after the mold spots are removed.
3. Wipe with 2% soap alcohol solution (add a handful of soft soap slices into 250 grams of alcohol, stir well), then wipe with 3-5% sodium hypochlorite or hydrogen peroxide, and finally wash. This method is limited to white fabrics, and the aging can be soaked in solution for 1 hour.
4. You can also wipe it with 5% ammonia or turpentine oil, then wash it with water to remove it.
5. Fabric made of silk can be washed with citric acid and then rinsed with cold water.
6. For mold stains on linen fabrics, they can be cleaned with calcium chloride solution.
7. The stains on wool fabrics can also be washed with mustard solution or borax solution (add 2 tablespoons of mustard or 2 tablespoons of borax to 1 bucket of water).
In addition, the amount of mold is basically irrelevant to the type of detergent and soap. Don’t think that the more detergent you put, the more you can remove mold.
