According to the BBC, Chelsea will sign 16-year-old Northern Ireland striker Chris Atherton.
Atherton, who was selected for the Northern Ireland U17, became the youngest professional football player in the UK in September 2022, when he was only 13 years and 329 days old.
Atherton joined Glenville Youth Training College at the age of 4. In Grenville's 6-0 victory over Doringston, he made a substitute in the second half, breaking the professional player's age record. Atherton broke the previous record held by Jordan Alan, who appeared for Aldri at the age of 14 and 191 days.
Atherton was a regular starter for the first team of Grenville throughout the 2024-25 season and scored his first Irish Premier League goal against Ruffale in March, eventually ranking 10th in the league.
Grenville announced his departure on social media, writing: "Chris Atherton, blue remains the main color."
Grenville official wrote: "We can confirm that youth training player Chris Atherton has left the club and signed to Chelsea. We wish him all the best in his career and hope that he and his family will not become strangers at Moenview Park Stadium."
