The Premier League officially released a video where Nottingham Forest striker Wood talked about his suggestions for Guizhou Village Super League players. He said that he and Village Super League players have the same dreams.

Wood competed in the New Zealand Amateur League when he was under 15 years old. He then moved to 12 teams in 11 years, and was even "returned" by the team during this period, but at the age of 26, he finally gained a foothold in the Premier League.

Speaking of suggestions for the village super players, Wood said: "Try to be relaxed and don't forget the purpose of your playing field. Why did the coach send you on the field, because they trust you and believe that you can contribute to the team. Even if you make a mistake, just take it lightly, and then continue to fight, because you know that when the next opportunity comes, you have the strength to control the situation."

"I think the village super players have the same dream. Playing football in the big stadium and in the cheers of thousands of fans. This is the moment of dream come true, enjoy it and integrate into it. This is great, fully demonstrating their enthusiasm for football. Teams from the small village can compete in such a grand event, which is completely beyond everyone's imagination, and the event is organized quite professionally."
