As for why the giant panda went down the mountain, Ms. Mou speculated that their village was killing New Year pigs recently, and it might have smelled the smell of blood and came down the mountain to find food.

Later, Ms. Mou updated the screen of a surveillance video, which showed that at around 10 a.m. on January 5, the giant panda walked through the yard of a family and continued to move forward. Ms. Mou joked that "the giant panda has gone all the way. It seems that she wants to collect some New Year's goods from the town to go home for the New Year."

On January 5, a staff member of the Lushan County Forestry Bureau told Jiupai News that they had noticed the news that wild giant pandas were present in the county, and experts had rushed to the place where giant pandas were discovered.

It also said that giant pandas are wild after all, and villagers should not interact with it, and it is best not to disturb it.
