As the seasons change and the temperature gradually decreases, dogs are more likely to catch colds in autumn. What should you do if your dog catches a cold and has a fever? Interested friends, come and find out ~

1. Physical cooling

If the puppy only has a low fever and the body temperature exceeds the normal body temperature within 1 degree Celsius, physical cooling can be used first. First, you can place ice cubes around the puppy, and then use alcohol to wipe the puppy's foot pads, ears, groin, armpits and other parts with less hair to cool down. Repeat every 5 minutes. At the same time, give the puppy plenty of water to promote metabolism, and pay attention to a light diet.

2. Inject antipyretic injections

If physical cooling is ineffective or the dog's body temperature exceeds the normal value by more than 1℃, you need to take the dog to the pet hospital immediately for antipyretic injections to avoid aggravating the condition. At the same time, analyze the causes of dog fever. Generally, dog fever may be caused by factors such as hot weather, colds, infectious diseases, etc. The owner can take the dog to the hospital for routine blood examination to determine whether there is any pathogenic infection in the body, and then take corresponding treatment measures.
