On Wednesday, Sao Paulo director Rui Costa was interviewed at the training center. He said that the management currently has no clear information about Oscar's future.

Oscar was discharged from the hospital this week after being hospitalized for vasovagal syncope for five days. His contract with the club lasts until the end of 2027, but if he decides to retire early, the two parties may terminate the contract amicably.

Rui Costa said: "Our main concern is how he can recover and become a good father, a good son, a good brother. Once he is fully recovered, we will deal with the issue of the contract, because he is an important investment for the club."

"We have experienced many dramatic situations with athletes at the club, some well-known and some not. "In all these cases, our priority is always to take care of the player and ensure that the entire humanization process is fully implemented before entering into discussions about contracts, expenditures and investments."

In addition to Oscar, another important player Lucas Moura also faces problems. Due to renewed pain in his right knee, he underwent injection treatment and is not expected to return until 2026. Rui Costa said they hope Lucas can make a good recovery next season.

"Lucas is very important to us. Although he feels much better than before, he is still not at his best. We hope that he will be fully recovered in January. We have high hopes for his performance next year and believe that he will become an important strength for us."
