Due to the strong demand, global regenerative crystal giant RS Technologies has set up new factories and increased production of regenerative crystals in Taiwan. The new factory is expected to produce volume in the second half of 2027 and aim to create a monthly production capacity of 300,000 pieces.
RS released a news release after the 13th that in response to strong demand, the Taiwan subsidiary "Eles Semiconductor" which operates the regeneration crystal business has obtained the second factory (the old site of the original semiconductor-related manufacturing factory) and will begin to invest in additional production.
RS pointed out that most of the demand for "Eles Semiconductor" Taiwan's factory comes from Taiwan's largest wafer foundry factory, so it has obtained the second factory in Tainan Science Park (8 minutes walk from the existing Taiwan factory) and aims to create a monthly production capacity of up to 300,000 pieces.
RS said that the above-mentioned second factory is scheduled to start mass production in the second half of 2027, with a monthly production capacity target of 50,000 tablets in 2027, and will be further expanded to 200,000 tablets in 2028, 250,000 tablets in 2029, and further expanded to 300,000 tablets in 2030.
RS also announced its financial report for the first half of 2025 (January-June 2025) on the 13th: consolidated investment revenue increased by 26.4% to 37.999 billion yen compared with the same period last year, and consolidated investment increased by 16.8% to 7.103 billion yen, but due to the recognition of 82.2 billion yen and consolidated profit decreased by 0.9% to 3.8 billion yen.

From the departmental situation, due to the strong demand from semiconductor factories and crystalline foundry factories, Japan's Sanbo Woodworking Factory and Taiwan factories are all full of production. In the first half of the year, the RS "recycled crystalline industry" business revenue increased by 21.2% to 1.3371 billion yen, and the profit growth was 12.1% to 4.742 billion yen, with a yield of 35.5%.
In the first half of the year, the RS "Dragon Manufacturing and Sales Business (=Silicon Grid Industry)" business decreased by 1.1% to 9.998 billion yen, and the profit increased by 5.6% to 2.33 billion yen, with a yield of 23.3%; the "Semiconductor-related Devices/Materials Business" business increased by 65.1% to 1.5528 billion yen, and the profit increased by 1.00.2% to 909 billion yen, with a yield of 5.9%.
RS reiterated that in order to meet strong demand, it will increase production of regenerated crystals in Japan and Taiwan, and also make mass production preparations in China, with the goal of establishing a global production capacity of more than 1 million tablets per month before the end of 2027. Among them, the RS target will increase the monthly production capacity of Japan's 12-inch recycled crystals to 440,000 pieces by 2027, Taiwan to 370,000 pieces, and China to 200,000 pieces.
RS pointed out that the company's current 12-inch recycled crystal circle has a global market share of 33%.
