The reporter saw that the eyes of these rescued puppies were frightened and uneasy. Some of the puppies had obvious injuries on their bodies. The staff were treating and comforting them.
Xinghai, the head of the Weishan Animal Protection Association, told reporters that all 243 dogs rescued this time were from Tianjin. "On June 30 this year, some local animal rights activists in Tianjin discovered that a dog truck was transporting a large number of dogs on the highway, so they contacted the local animal inspection and quarantine department to intercept it." Xinghai said that after receiving the help information, the staff of the Dalian Weishan Association also rushed to Tianjin to provide support. After several days of confrontation, the dog trafficker admitted that he had no relevant procedures and agreed to give up ownership of the dogs. The reporter learned that the dog dealer has already accepted administrative penalties from the local animal inspection department in Tianjin.
