Global Glass OEM, Longtou, recently announced the "2024 Responsible Supply Chain Report", which comprehensively revealed the specific achievements in supply chain governance, carbon reduction actions, human rights guarantees and social responsibility. The report shows that the company not only improves its governance structure, but also exceeds its goals in multiple permanent indicators, demonstrating its global semiconductor dragon's high commitment to the responsible supply chain.

According to the content of the "2024 Responsible Supply Chain Report", in terms of supply chain governance performance, as of 2024, NTU has completed 165 diversified raw materials supply plans, effectively dispersing production risks and exceeding annual goals ahead of schedule. In addition, a total of 220 key high-risk supplier audits were completed in 2024, of which 150 were directly executed by Taiwan Electric and 70 were conducted by RBA certified third parties, with a rate of improvement of major missings reaching 100%. Moreover, we identified 112 high-risk suppliers throughout the year and completed improvement plan tracking, and no suppliers suspended their cooperation due to major violations.

In addition, in terms of carbon emission management, key suppliers have reduced carbon emissions by 4%, achieving and exceeding annual targets, and promoting a cumulative carbon reduction of 230,000 tons and moving towards the 2 million tons carbon reduction program in 2030. 90% of high-use electricity suppliers have obtained ISO 14064 temperature room gas verification, far higher than the expected target 88%, with a cumulative electricity of 1.026 billion degrees, exceeding the target 90 billion degrees. Also, the supplier accumulated 54.86 million cubic meters of water, which was higher than the original 50 million cubic meters target. Finally, the local suppliers' waste product output was reduced by 42% based on 2014, and the recovery rate increased to 81%.

As for the first-tier supplier merchant’s self-evaluation average score has reached 77 points in C. Although it still needs to be improved, it has been included in the long-term management goal. All suppliers are also required to formulate inclusive employment policies, with a achievement rate of 100%, significantly exceeding the original goal by 40%. The raw materials purchased 100% meet the responsible mine standards and complete the full-time inspection and audit of the responsible mines of 3 suppliers. It also conducted supplier RBA audits for migrant workers and women for the first time, covering 4,194 migrant workers and 401 female employees, and promoted overtime regulations, dormitory safety, gender equality and anti-sexual rash measures.

In terms of supply chain cooperation and localization results, the proportion of raw materials purchased in Taiwan in the local area has reached 65%, surpassing the original target by 64.9%. The proportion of spare parts purchases on-site has increased to 46%, significantly exceeding the target value of 41%. The proportion of overseas subsidiaries' local purchases reached 35.6%, which is still lower than future goals, but it was revealed for the first time and established a tracking indicator. In 2024, a total of 725 suppliers participated in environmental protection and professional security training, with a total of 1,879, significantly higher than the target 1,300.

Finally, NTU has emphasized that it will continue to promote supplier carbon reduction health inspection projects, carbon management digital platforms and renewable energy joint procurement, and include human rights evaluation and carbon reduction performance in supplier selector indicators. Taiwan Power further stated that the supply chain responsible for the supply chain is not only in compliance with regulations, but also the key to corporate independence and competitiveness. In the future, five major directions will be deepened, including carbon neutrality, energy transformation, supply chain, human rights guarantee, and digital governance.
